12th Annual Thunder in the Valley Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pull

Rock Valley, Iowa—The 12th Annual Thunder in the Valley Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pull will take place on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11 at the Thunder in the Valley Tractor Pulling Arena in Rock Valley, Iowa. This pull is an Outlaw Ultimate National Truck & Tractor Pull, one of the largest pulls across the Midwest. It has also been voted ‘Pull of the Year’ 10 years in a row by the Iowa Tractor Pulling Association and seven times by the Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pulling Association.

There are two tracks, two sleds, and three sessions featuring all classes. The event kicks off on Friday, July 10, at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, July 11, the event resumes at 12:30 p.m. and then again at 6:00 p.m. Concessions are available and coolers are permitted.

“This will be bigger and better than ever this year, featuring 14 classes of pulling vehicles during three sessions and paying out a purse over $100,000,” says Rich Rozeboom.

Thunder in the Valley Pulling Arena recently made upgrades to their facility including; additional bleacher seating, a larger pit parking area and free camping sites.

The city of Rock Valley has hosted pulls for many years and 12 years ago Valley Pullers partnered with Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association. The first Outlaw pull only had three classes with a purse of $12,000. Valley Pullers Inc., has 10 directors that promote the pulls each year in Rock Valley. There are approximately 250 volunteers.

Rozeboom says “We wouldn’t be able to pull off this event without the help of our volunteers and sponsors. We are so grateful for their help.”
